One of my nearest and dearest, Jess, is in town while our husbands are away, frolicking together in NC! She flew in last night and the two of us enjoyed a small cafe midtown while Mother Nature gave us a great lightning display. Such heartwarming times...This restaurant (along with the company) was the absolute highlight. While we were driving, we picked it out of the bunch, noticing the word "nook" in its description. Jess commented, "Any restaurant including the word "nook" is where I want to be." I totally agreed. Stemless wine glasses, unmatching plates, divine salads and paninis, chilled wine bottles in a pottery pitcher on the counter, small flickering candles on the tables, striped pillows adorning a window seat...
These were just a few of the sights that absolutely charmed my senses. We babbled away from topic to topic and then back to previous topics as if we hadn't skipped a beat from over a year ago. Love how bosom friends work like that...
