New Neighbors

What's almost as cool as another family moving in with 3 boys and a little girl on the way???

New neighbors from England!!!!

The boys and I delivered cookies there yesterday and enjoyed meeting new friends from "across the pond".

As we were chatting, they asked if our homeowners' dues covered the cost of the "bins". I was confused at first until realizing they were referring to the trash cans! Love the Brit terminology. We all had a good chuckle.

And hopefully its the first of many.

Blessings this Tuesday,

Good to see your making new friends. If you have any questions about what they are talking about, I will happily translate for you. When we first moved here my mum walked down the aslie in her office asking for a rubber. Imagine the looks she got. She was asking for an eraser. lol.

Awesome! Are the boys near the same age as yours? We have a ton of kids in our new neighborhood, including 3 five year old boys in the three houses right across the street and we are in heaven. As soon as we get home from school, Joey runs out to play, comes in for dinner, and comes back again for bath and bed. He is so happy and it makes such a difference to know that these are kids he will go to school with and grow up with. Enjoy getting to know your new neighbors. What fun!

That is awesome and so much fun! I'm such an anglophile if we had British neighbors move in I would probably end up stocking them a bit!

YAY! I hope the boys are all close in age and can be playmates! Isn't it wonderful to meet a new family who you have so much in common with? Good for you!

And, on a sidenote ... how NICE of you to make the effort to walk across the street and welcome them to the neighborhood! I wish someone would've done that for us when we first moved in! We've lived here for over two years and STILL only know a handful of neighbors.

Just to clarify, the new neighbors have 3 grown boys and no more children on the way! :( How much we would have wished for a young family to move in. The saving grace is that they were from England. haha! I didn't write these ideas out well, so it reads that we have young new neighbors who are also from England.

Oh and Rachel, this is the first time we've delivered goodies to a new neighbor. I'm making it my personal mission to welcome people to the neighborhood because no one did for us!! Start a new trend.
